Security System Servicing and Maintenance

Becoming your security specialist is important to us, and often our clients like us to move with them as their business expands to new or bigger premises. If you have recently moved to a new premises, we can service and repair existing security systems, whether we installed the system or not. Often your needs will be different to the previous owner or tenant and you may want some advice on what your system is capable of, prior to a technician coming out. If so, please contact our office and talk to our experienced technicians. We can often save customers significant expense by making small changes or repairs to current systems or by simply helping you utilise the capability you have.

Oliver-Ramsay Security recommends that all businesses have an annual preventive maintenance call scheduled as a minimum. This will ensure the effective operation of security systems installed.

The Australian standard recommends that your security alarm system is serviced on an annual basis to ensure that it is operating effectively. Insurance claims could be affected if regular maintenance is not performed on your security systems, so we recommend that you check requirements with your insurance company.

How often maintenance on CCTV surveillance systems should be carried out will be determined by the environment and the level of importance that the systems is to the success of the business. For instance a CCTV system within a licenced venue is a legal requirement and the premises could be closed down or compromised if the system is not maintained and functioning correctly. On the other hand, a CCTV system in a retail store may only require maintenance every 6 months.

Having a preventative maintenance plan in place can save you money in the long term and should be considered as an investment in your business rather than an expense.  If you would like to book a service call or if you require a quote for a maintenance program for your business that will suit your needs and budget, please contact our office and we can discuss the options which will best suit your needs.
